  BLAST Super Saturday Massage  


         Colleen Fraser  RMT
has kindly offered to gather a team from Whistler to Vancouver to give individual  therapeutic massage and a talk on Ayurveda


Whistler Healing Arts customizes healing and wellness experiences that are dedicated to self-discovery and education by offering 3 different segments of its' vision; Therapeutic MassageAyurvedic diet and lifestyle education and personal multi day cleanses. Within each segment you will find a place to learn, discover, and self-reference ways to maintain a natural state of health. Dedicated to creating a supportive place to experience new possibilities.

Whistler Healing Arts is co-founded by registered massage therapists' and ayurvedic practitioners'. "The study of the human potential in all its graceful forms is what gently transforms us back to our true nature." says Colleen Fraser, RMT   "As we strive to maintain an awareness of our impact on the natural environment, we can begin to see how it effects our inner body systems."

                               Aging, Mobility and Cognitive Function Lab, 


          Focus is on defining the role of exercise 

to promote 

healthy aging 

          and prevent cognitive 

 and functional decline among seniors.

Terri Damiani

"Yoga came as one of those "aha” moments in my first yoga class over ten years ago”.

Terri is a certified yoga and senior fitness instructor with extensive training in the Iyegar method of hatha yoga; focusing on alignment and the breath.  She received additional training from Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging from the University of Western Ontario. Terri has instructed corporate classes as part of wellness programming for the City of Calgary, therapeutic classes for Friends for Life, and seniors’ yoga class for the Kinesiology Department at UBC.  Additionally she has lead stretch sessions for over 1,000 participants at BC Cancer’s fund raising events–the Underwear Affair and Walk to End Women’s Cancer–as the kick off to the event.  Terri holds First Aid with CPR and valid liability insurance, and is an associate member of the Iyengar Yoga Association of Canada.

Her unique blend of precision and humour creates an atmosphere for growth and advancement in a supportive environment.


  BLAST - Saturday and Sunday



           Anne Wittig  CE conductor

The conductor looks at what the individual can already do and from there determines the next step of the individual's development. This is a positive outlook on a disability, helping to generate success and confidence. Conductive Education acknowledges that one is never too young or old to start learning new skills. CE emphasizes that the way new skills are learned is unique to the individual and requires flexibility, with a positive and encouraging teaching method.

 Is presently located in Ontario. Karel, in the spirit of BLAST has arranged for him to come to Templeton Branch,  Feb 24. to speak about CE.  He will be moving to Vancouver and has kindly offered to join us for the entire BLAST experience .
