Strides for Strokes 2012
June is Stroke Awareness month
Come and join Templeton Turtles in our first annual community event to create awareness,  support our branch program, and stroke survivors

  •          What:       Strides for Strokes - run walk N roll
  •          When:      Saturday, June 23rd, 2012
  •          Time:       10:00 registration  11 am start
  •          Where:     Templeton Park Pool  Activity Room
  •          Pizza:        11:30 - 1 pm 

    • Templeton Turtles Stride for Strokes is adapted. Distance doesn't matter. Our stroke survivors, caregivers, family and friends will "Walk N Roll" around the oval from 11 - 11:30      

    In the Activity Room we will display information about Stroke Recovery and our neighbourhood community, such as:

  • Stroke Recovery Association of BC and Templeton Branch
  • B.L.A.S.T. Stroke Survivors ”Building Life After Stroke Together”
  • Hastings Community Center, Templeton Pool, and Parks Board.
  • GF Strong Rehabilitation Center
  • Moving ahead Conductive Education
  • March of Dimes who have recently opened an office in Vancouver.
  • Grandview/Woodland community planning
  • Men's Health Initiative
  • Grandview Woodland community police centre.

    Contributions specifically for Easter BLAST 2013 must be marked for BLAST. Unchecked contributions will go to Templeton Branch operations.  Either one is appreciated and benefiting stroke survivors and their caregivers. 

    Donations can be made securely online by creditcard or paypal.

I am the first to comment??? I am very imesprsed and excited for you! Everything looks great. Thank you for the newsletter! I heard from my sister-in-law that her friend, Kelly Ann in Virginia Beach, hired you for her wedding from looking at our wedding photos! Very cool! We are coming up on two years and 10 days (or so?) later we will have baby #2! Our wedding album is beautiful and we love it. Thank you for everything Love, Kelley Anne and Matt Carey
