June is stroke awareness month
Join Templeton Turtles and friends Striding for Strokes and "Building Life After Stroke Together"
Strides for Strokes allows the opportunity for stroke survivors to play an active role in providing for their ongoing recovery and raising awareness. It is our main fundraiser.
Thanks to our many supporters BLAST 2011 was a huge success. Volunteers gave their time and expertise. Stroke survivors, proud to be able to give back, supported fellow stroke survivors new to life as a Turtle.
We've had very encouraging positive feedback. Volunteers networked and spent quality time gaining new insight to stroke recovery. Some have since visited SRABC branches and continued contact with campers. Most want to do it again.
Easter weekend everyone contributed to the success of the camp. There were some tear jerking moments as we wrapped up to go home Monday. We knew we had all experienced something very special. It reinforced the need to provide a facility to create new memories and confirmed the value of this event.
"Building Life After Stroke Together" developed into deeper meaning than anticipated and everyone had a BLAST. Happy people are healthier people. Please listen to Gage (our top fundraiser) and help keep the ball rolling by passing this on.
Donations will go to Templeton Stroke Recovery for Easter B.L.A.S.T. unless stipulated otherwise
