 Press release Sept 2010

Easter Camp BLAST (Building Life After Stroke Together) 2011

BLAST, an Easter weekend retreat, is in planning stages. The planning committee leaders are Debbie Chow (Templeton), Martha Hutchinson (WestEnd) and Karel Ley (Delta).  Margaret Hansen (Coquitlam) and Dawn Sillett (Delta) have leant support.

The committee has been working towards Easter BLAST camp since this time last year. They created a survey which 175 of you filled in and results are available by going to TurtleTalk.ca and click on the turtles at the top for updates and to learn about  details to date.

The destination will be Lions Easter Camp at Squamish. Many of you are familiar with it from past participation in special weekends for stroke survivor families.

BLAST is planned for the Easter weekend April 22 – 25, 2011. It includes   three nights,  2 full days plus 2 half days of fun . Since Easter falls near the end of April, the weather should be beautiful.

Until funding is confirmed we cannot predict a cost other than to say it will be very reasonable and hopefully within financial reach of all SRABC members.

Anyone wanting additional information should contact  the  committee members. Email addresses follow:

In the meantime keep those important dates open for a wonderful weekend specially designed for stroke survivors.
