 Diane's Story

I've been going to camp since 1987. The few times I've missed have been very hard on me. Each year there have been people that have not come back because of their health or financial problems, and I miss them.

I remember my first visit to the camp I was very nervous and didn't know what to expect. And couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised at how much I got out of it and still do.

I've never really been an outdoor person but there there was always lots to do and lots of people around and lots of bunnies.

Each year when I go to Camp I look forward to seeing familiar faces from previous years. There is always such camaraderie and nobody feels any less able to participate in all the activities.

The Saturday night dance is always such a hit. Everyone participates and has a fantastic time. I know for myself the only time I dance any more is at camp. It's the only place that I don't feel awkward dancing.

There's always something to do to keep you busy if you want to be busy. Or if you just want a relaxing holiday you can do that too.

When I am at camp I'm not feeling like I'm a burden to others. I'm able to help other people instead of other people always helping me.
